We were saddened to hear of the passing of Yehuda Lerner, our eldest participant in the Corpus Project, who passed away in February 2024, just a few days after his 97th birthday. Sara Lanesman, our PhD student, met with Yehuda’s son, Yoav, shortly after receiving the sad news. Sara said that it was a very emotional meeting. They exchanged stories about Yoav’s childhood as a CODA, attending different deaf events and hanging out with the hearing kids from other deaf families. Yoav was moved to see Yehuda’s footage from the Corpus. We are very pleased that Yehuda shared his stories with us.
