This time we made it to the Netherlands, in a city called Nijmegen. The event was called Lex Day, bringing together researchers who work on sign language datasets around the world: https://www.mpi.nl/events/sign-lex-day. There were people from Germany, Turkey, America, Spain and us from Israel. We were invited to share our experiences creating the Corpus of ISL as well as ISL-LEX – if you are not familiar with ISL-LEX, this is a unique resource online which displays the relationship between many different ISL signs based on the way in which they are produced (their movement, handshape or location).
